Memorize The Guitar is for beginners who want to take a simple, easy, and effective approach to grasping and exploring the fundamentals of learning how to play without having to rigoroursly study musical theory or learn sheet music.

We start with the basics, teaching you how to understand the parts of the guitar, the strings, and the tuning. From there, we progress into finger speed and dexterity building techniques and then begin teaching chords, scales, and then even some more advanced techniques.

Justin Bullock has been playing music for over thirty years! He took perfect pitch piano lessons at the age of four until he was six years old. He got a drum kit for his tenth birthday and played them for several years until he took interest in the guitar at fifteen. His father played guitar in a southern rock band and his grandfather also played the guitar and sang. Both of them were a big influence on him wanting to learn to play.

When he first began learning to play the guitar, he actually was holding the guitar in his lap due to the difficulty of putting his hands properly on the neck of the instrument. He played that way for several months until his father began teaching him valuable tips and tricks for how to most effectively learn and play.

Memorize The Guitar was created with the intention of helping others learn exactly how he did, which is essentially how to teach yourself how to play the way you want. By showing the fundamental areas of the guitar and what is important to learn, based on these key understandings offered in this course, you can figure out exactly what aspects of guitar interest you the most so that you can expand your horizons from there.

Justin currently plays guitar and sings in a duo called Just Peekin’ where they play cover songs primarily around Northeast Florida. He also hosts open mic nights and has an original band called Woodland Drives.
